--Heya Tristan, welcome back :)

--I've sent emails back and forth with book publishers, board game people, game devs, just talking about what they're looking for in an artist. I send them some my work and I am just up front with that I'm a student and will continue to be a student for the next 2 years but that I'm interested in working for them and I want to know what they look for and what they pay.

--It really depends on what you want to do. In general, if you're good enough, people would want to network with you so less work is required. Easiest way is through people you already know. Conventions and events can often get you in touch with a lot of people. Doing small jobs is another way. If you're mostly studying, it's gonna be harder to network with the non-studying world

--How does one network? Serious question haha better yet, how does one network while studying

--below the post text box is an attachment section. Broswe for and select the image under new attachment, upload it. The "insert into pos" button will add some code wherever your cursor is in the message. Repeat for as many images as you like. Suggest keeping uploads <1200px width for quicker loading

--of course it's difficult to judge where that point is, and I feel like some artists (myself included) have the opposite problem where they don't spend enough time thinking about individual pieces. So yeah, it's tricky.

--I read your posts though, so Imma try to answer here. The thing is that you have to repeat the process of making an image a lot of time to figure out how all the different aspects of it fit together. You really can't make up for that kind of trial and error process by working on a single piece way too long. At a certain point you not making any progress on a piece is simply the result of a lack of knowledge, and no amount of fidgeting around is going to change that.

--Yeah, with businesses they usually have a contract with a courier company to handle their shipping, which makes it cheaper for the business, which makes it cheaper for the customers. They SHOULD help you, it just means you might be paying a higher shipping rate.

--cheers pocket! when your putting in country Ireland doesn't show up. i'll email them i guess, thanks again :)

--It says international shipping - do they definitely not ship? or have you tried contacting them for personalised service, just means shipping will be different and you might have to organise payment via bank deposit.
