--Classes range from $20-150+
16 Sep 16:19
--It looks like svslearn gives you critiques for the classes for relatively cheap($20 per class it looks like, don't take my word for it, still looking at the site)
16 Sep 16:17
--For schoolism, the $144 per year thing is really more "here's your assignments, learn at your own leisure" so you don't get any video feedback. You can view past critiques but I'd probably hold off until you can afford the feedback classes($998?) if you do wish to eventually take it

--Schoolism looks pretty nice... I wonder how much the interactive courses cost
16 Sep 15:00
--I don't know much about digital painting, but maybe you could try some of the free online tutorials and see if they help?
16 Sep 14:58
--I've been thinking of online classes but I feel like a lot of them lack the interaction that I would like to have
16 Sep 14:56
--I feel like I have to do a million layers to do anything cleanly but when I do that I lose myself in them and it looks even worse
16 Sep 14:56
--lately I've been having so much trouble with what I think I could call "brush control"... I use Clip Studio so it has some differences from Photoshop, and I really like some of them, but I just never feel comfortable painting
16 Sep 14:53
--for what I can afford... I'm not really sure, because I'm still not making much money lol orz Good news is I'm not homeless like I thought I was going to be.
16 Sep 14:53
--Hey Punk~ style wise the best way I could describe it is by showing... There are so many artists that I love, I'm really enamored with this guy lately http://chaosringen.deviantart.com/gallery/ or course I love Ilya too, everyone loves Ilya lol (Kr0npr1nz)
16 Sep 14:20
--how much can you afford to spend, and what style /area are you headed for, because some of the places like SVS, and schoolisim , chris oatley, uhh what's his name.. bluh it'll come to me.. but there is a real range of prices, from a hundred odd a year to 800 odd for 8 weeks
16 Sep 14:12
--I had a mentor but he's kind of a jerk and seems to critique my life choices and personality more often than my drawings.
16 Sep 14:11
--I've been thinking about contacting some artists I like and asking if I could pay them to mentor me...not sure how much I should (or could) offer thiugh
16 Sep 12:58
--my thing with timing stuf is a work traditionally most of the time, so on screen timing isnt' indicative of me working, more of me goofing off looking at images and finding refs/ chatting
16 Sep 12:57
--Pretty sneaky Sprint. Trying to charge me $30 extra fees on my bill. Also, I've never heard of the pomodoro timing thing, might try that and see how it works
16 Sep 12:44
--Thats a good idea Mayenia, I've thought about doing that too. seemd too much like a chore. Unless maybe have an app that does that stuff
16 Sep 11:57
--I was going to incorperate a start/stop timer so it can record how long you draw and display some stats, like time spent drawing each day, week and month views too
16 Sep 11:36
--I /always/ do warm up stuff, and timed figure/animal/face/hands drawings daily though, I've just made it part of my warm up, so I am getting some mileage. Like today, I have the flu, don't feel like doing anythng, but doing the timed stuff anyway, even though they look terrible, I'm still doing /something/
16 Sep 11:33
--I use the pomodoro... I have a to-do list, but I often don't follow it, if I /really/ don't feel like doing a particular project forcing it tends to not work out well, so I pick from the to-do list based on how I feel
