--The main point is, get insurance, it's a lot less stressful figuring out how you're going to go to the doctor when you do.

--I think mullins started young tho.. very young. But, like everybody ages lol.. so no surprise at all that he is in his 50's

--The number has nothing to do with art, but it does have to do with problems you'd like to go away. All I'm saying is, take advantage of how young one is, a lot of problems will disappear and would be nice if you're ready when the time comes.

--Pretty much.. it's like watching Sycra etc critique a really good piece of art.. as they said, they were being nit picky because the piece was good, but there is /always/ going to be something you can learn and do better
14 Sep 09:02
--Look at guys in their 40's like Letterfy, Adrian Smith and Rigney, they are producing seriously badass work from a mature pov.
14 Sep 09:02
--the number means nothing, but having kids or anything that takes away from your time or punishes you for taking risks does. thats why starting young is easier, your parents etc will take care of things that distract you from learning but other than that you can learn as long as you have a functional brain

--Keep pursuing art come what may. It's a lifelong pursuit. The challenges do not end.

--I'm not saying to let it take over, I'm saying take advantage of your youth, problems once you hit your 30s are stupid, really stupid
14 Sep 08:59
--I think you've got to look at age being a bonus.. you have life experience to bring to it.. because if you worry that you are too old, it becomes self defeating - take who and what you are right now, and see that as bonus points rather than hurdles
14 Sep 08:58
--These are all hurdles of mental resistance in the way of doing the work to achieve your goals.
14 Sep 08:57
--I just mean, any career in general. Not having any insurance before the age of 30 can creep up on you
14 Sep 08:56
--meh, I don't think you can put a 'preferably before x age' on anything.. people change careers all the time, sure art is something which because it's more visual, you can see how bad you are at it to start with, but it's got the same kind of learning curve anything else has
14 Sep 08:54
--"if you guys are not older than 32, get back to work...." - and what if we are?
14 Sep 08:54
--and really.. until you are actually dead and buried, you still have time to improve, and you will never stop improving
14 Sep 08:54
--to come back to that topic one last time. if you manage to go through scotts how to books, thats a huuuuuuge confidence boost because you will be able to realize so much more of what you are imagining. they are hard but the are the most rewarding resources to study
14 Sep 08:54
--Book, yep just trust you will get there.. the brickwall I hit was all in my head, and all wound up in that 'get good fast enough before time runs out' thing
