But when I'm at my best, good energy level, nutrients, etc, then I find 60 minutes with a 30 min break is my sweet spot.

Sometimes it'll be in 10 - 15 minute chunks, or 30 minutes on, and 15 min break... It all depends on lots of different variables.

Yeah. I actually went nerdy and looked up the best way to do it. I think it was written that most professionals do 90 minutes on, and 20 - 30 minutes off, or something like that. My sweet spot seems to be 60 minutes on, 30 minutes off, but it varies.

That's where time block comes in, for me at least, 30 minutes focus or 45 minutes focus with 15~45 minutes break depending how long the block is.

Steve Huston is an awesome teacher. I'm already learning a loooot about the figure through his videos.

'Cause when you're drawing for hours and hours, you need small breaks. :)

And if my attention got too divided, then this was a cue to stop working and take a break to watch.

Well, I was mostly just listening to it. Background noise, kinda thing. Music gets boring after awhile.

Yeah, I love multiple monitors. It completely changes the way you can learn and study and everything. Makes it more efficient, too. I'd recommend it to any artist who has the space for it. (I don't right now. :()

Other merits as you said, is watch a series while doing something. But not too sure how productive you would stay by dividing your attention too much like that.

So its easier to not only see what you're reading about, you can also draw and take notes on the specific area you're learning on. :D

by it. Because you can just have a reference on the other screen and on the other screen you can read a book about anatomy per say,

so I can either dual watch on monitor, or work on one single screen. Last year I tested that, and I was just blown away

I think my best setup though (even if not the most comfortable) was having 2 - 3 monitors and a nice big desk for my wacom. It's so nice to have something to 'watch' while you work. Especially when I was being meticulous for hours with master studies.

I had this awesome setup before, where I had a stationary computer on the floor beside my bed, my monitor on these mechanical arms coming out, I could just adjust the monitor and swing it anyway I wanted, and I was just chilling in bed with my wacom on the side and a wireless keyboard on my lap. :)

Makes sense-- Use what you've got on hand and make due. Me, I've been on my laptop with my wacom alongside, or at the moment, taking advantage of these NMA videos, and drawing along with my sketchbook, taking notes where needed.

For some reason, if I'm painting traditional, I prefer to be standing with an easel. I've tried sitting in a chair, on the floor, etc., but I dunno. Standing is just best.

But yeah, look forward to have a semi-standing desk, saw another ytuber (devingraham) that have an automatic table that can go up or down (so he can alternate between the two)

Although, I think another thing that aids well with posture due of long sitting (if you sit a lot) is yoga. Been doing it constantly every morning, and light stretch during late afternoon.

Wonder how good it works with lets say doing traditional painting/drawing, from what I saw they mainly use bar stool.

I didn't even knew about the method of stand up drawing, until I watched 1 youtuber that does it (rossdraws) and a streamer on twitch which I have forgotten her name.

Your muscles suffer from using them a certain way that causes them stress - when seating it's the blood flow you need to consider. No straight up and legs at a right angle or you can permanently deform the valve.
