--Pretty sure one of my RAM sticks has given up the ghost
05 Sep 19:21
--I think my PC had cancer until now. the internet said what it was doing was "it was building a search index and the database just kept growing and growing in size until all of the hard drive was used." so it was using 100% disk for months and everything was super laggy, glad I found out :D
05 Sep 19:20
--Hahah! "11) I was seven, and a genius, at a science fair. I had made the first probe ever to fly to mars, and no one cared...."
05 Sep 19:19
--Yep... Memories flooding back, I'm going to be lost in this for a while.
05 Sep 19:18
--All in Bullet form. "1) Dream about Demons from another dimension. Can't remember the whole plot but the cool thing was that every demon was once human, and there's this gallery full of portraits of everyone as they were, and as they are now. "
05 Sep 19:17
--Hey, I found my dream list... I guess after 2010 I had only hand-written them.
05 Sep 19:15
--Yep, agreed. After all, one of the most common misconceptions is that science knows anything to be true. If anything it's the most true, but is always up for revision. Science is a tool, not a belief system.
05 Sep 19:10
--But, anyway-- Healthy skepticism isn't something to shake a finger at, in my opinion. Having skepticism is actually the equivalent of having an open mind. ;D
05 Sep 19:09
--I read all of the scientific theories about dreams-- And I think that it's probably a bit of most of them.
05 Sep 19:09
--The truth is scientists don't really know. Some say it's processing the everyday-- Some say it's processing a lifetime. Some say it's purely experiential, some say that it involves subconscious desires (Although that one's a bit outdated).
05 Sep 19:08
--Not to be skeptical, I'm just more fascinated by the dream as it appears than what it says about me.
05 Sep 19:04
--The fact that it's a processing of one's experiences is the most logical theory, but it may not encompass the entirety of what dreams mean.
05 Sep 19:04
--I was reading something this week about that - dreams feeling more real than life.
05 Sep 19:03
--There's a lot that psychologists and neurologists can't really tell about dreams. Most of it is speculation and theory.
05 Sep 19:03
--Well, the emotions I get from dreams seem more real/vivid. And like... Not like anything I've felt before. But, they can come as negative or positive, or just.. Something way out there, lol.
05 Sep 19:02
--A dream can be a result of what emotion you've been susceptible to that day, as well as a day many years ago. It's less artificial as it is a copy, or biproduct of your real experiences.
05 Sep 19:00
--Haha, not weird at all, like I said, when you sleep your brain processes your day's short term memory to long term, and the logic processes are shut down. The 'data' that gets stirred up between leads to halucinations.
05 Sep 18:59
--Sometimes the dream would come back to me in the middle of the day, through a residue of emotion that the dream left behind. Weird, huh?
05 Sep 18:59
--And if you wake, stay laying down and try to recall everything. When you sit up the chemical composite of your brain changes and you begin to forget your short term processes, which is where dreams are formed.
05 Sep 18:58
--It includes just relaxing, and closing your eyes, and drifting back into the memory of the dream.
