I was relieved to realize that it was merely from passing out and staying in the same position until late this morning and forcing it to go numb.

So I worked at a wedding yesterday and had a mild heart attack when I woke up today and couldn't move my drawing hand.

You should be able to salvage it meat - it might have a bit of a burnt tone, but it should be ok if you take it out and put it in another pot, avoiding the burnt bit on the bottom

16 Aug 14:41

Amit Dutta

--

Yeah, stay in the moment or get burned.

16 Aug 14:36

meat

A giant pot of stew meant to help skip cooking for the next several days, burnt from just 8 min. of neglect. Somehow, this must be relate-able to art-making.

If you are using 2.9.6 they have a Tool Options docker drop down at the top of the interface (looks like a spanner). With the assistant tool selected you can choose, save and load from that panel. :)

16 Aug 12:50

Amit Dutta

--

Ah, so, you can save an assistant file for any setup that you currently have and reload it at any point. One downside is that the assistants don't scale with the canvas...so if you use assistants for a thumb, you have to place them again for the final if it is a different res. I think this is a feature they are working on

haven't been live for awhile, sketchin come by and chat if you'd like :)! http://www.twitch.tv/russellrjones

Amit, does this guides save position with the file? This can be pretty handy indeed

16 Aug 12:04

Ursula Dorada

--

thank you :D It's pretty fun

16 Aug 11:55

Amit Dutta

--

Oh also krita doesn't come with a shortcut to turn snap on and off, so you have to set one up for the "Toggle Assistant" setting, and it will turn snap on or off when you hit the key

16 Aug 11:50

oh and then you can tweak your brush settings to change based on a perspective parameter as well. haven't used it, but it seems kinda neat
