you can also snap to any of the guide types there are. You can have any number of VPs not just a 3 point grid

As for my Sensei, he'd say "if you know how to kick, it doesn't matter what kick you use, knowing the technique to kick well, is the key" - he's talked about that stuff with us, the idea that specifics are built from a broad base, punches are basically the same thing, iterated in different ways, but if you can't get the initial part right, none of the rest of it will be good, he'd rather we learnt many different kicks then just one *shrugs*

I get the notion Zearth, I suppose it's the "do one thing 10,000 times, be good at only that one thing" and because I want to do illustration, I don't have that luxury, I have to be able to do pretty much everything art wise, I'd rather practise fundamentals 10,000 times and hope that makes learning the rest as I need it easier. But I'm having issues with everything right now, I know I've improved a little, but so has my eye, and it's just frustrating the heck out of me

At least, that's the kind of thought that comes to mind when I read that. :)

Unless you just want to be jack of all trades, little bit of everything.

I think what Bruce is basically conveying is, instead of jack of all tracks, master one thing, and move to another.

Anyway.

About coolorus being uncessary: it is. Dang it, you don't need anything else beside RGB sliders.. but it's about comfort. I prefer color picker plugins simply to not click "okay" after picking a color on PS's color picker. And I am now too used to the triangle picker too. So it's a complete matter of habit. I love it and I recommend it, but necessary? Not even sure photoshop is necessary brah

I'm sure my Karate Sensi would disagree, but meh

Gah, is there ever a time when your ability to draw meshes with your ability to see ALL the mistakes. Feeling such frustration at the moment!

Yep, they had a kickstarter recently to pay for the years dev work, so they have a programmer working on it full time

That's the good thing, being an open software it's easy to suggest to them and everything :)

I go chat with the dev guys for Krita quite often, they are cool guys, and if you have a specific problem they will try and address it, they are making an animation thing, and working on the perspective grid, and adding to the select tools

Yeah I hear that a lot. By default it was a really clunky interface, I tweaked it to get it working for me. Was totally fine. Half my folio was done on gimp
