--My elderly cat (who has gone rather senile), grew up with a dog, pretty damned sure she thinks she /is/ a dog, and when the neighbours terrier got loose and came over, simply sat just out of reach and swatted it's nose each time it lunged, totally not worried, I carried the dog back to it's home, cat came with me... Dogs will try and make a cat run, but if the cat stands it's ground it's pretty safe, dogs are wimps
