--I'm sure you've heard of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by now. Everybody's gonna recommend that. Here's something else I just found recently. It's based on the Dynamic Sketching course and it should help you develop good habits.

--Actually, pure, absolute foundations is enjoying how to draw. 0.0 Before you get into all the technical (and for me, boring) aspects of perspective and anatomy, you gotta enjoy drawing.

--Yeah, the book has amazing knowledge (managed to survive almost a century as the #1 recommended book for basic perspective!), and it does a great job at introducing how to think and imagine in perspective, where as Vandruff's video kinda just jumps into it. However, Vandruff's videos are videos. They are dynamic, and he can demonstrate things visually (he can turn a box to explain something. In the book, diagrams and your own imagining is required). Both are good.
