Thanks a lot man! I will :) A loose still life I did a few days ago, I'm going to do a more detailed one soon, and a nude study on charcoal, I always wanted to try it and I'm having a lot of fun! Meh, weekend's over. RE: Wladimir's sketchook D: -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-11-2013 Since I have the day free, I decided to finish this study from the movie Leon The Professional I started earlier this week. RE: Wladimir's sketchook D: -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-12-2013 Another study guys! Trying to get the colors right and more details. RE: Wladimir's sketchook D: -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-13-2013 A nude study from today, trying to nail the colors and practicing with the softbrush! These are random sketches from this week, and having fun with charcoal, keeping it loose Thanks for looking! RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-15-2013 Some things from this weekend guys! A self portrait in charcoal Spent the whole Saturday doing this for a class, it was fun to do! RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-17-2013 Random sketches from these days RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - Ignatz - 07-17-2013 Hi wla91. Nice sketchbook. Those charcoal studies in particular stand out; there's a really nice fluidity to them. Keep at it. RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - EduardoGaray - 07-19-2013 when sketching, try to work more on how you are going to construct the figure rather than drawing what you see. I noticed that you already have started to work on that, so push the construction a bit further. And keep working! :) RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-19-2013 (07-17-2013, 08:35 AM)Ignatz Wrote: Hi wla91. Nice sketchbook. It's funny that you mention that because in my last studies I was feeling like I wasn't absorbing as much as I wanted, I realized it was because of the construction, so thanks for pointing that! I will apply some Loomis and Bridgman to my next studies :) Here are some selfies from today, keeping them loose with a 0.8 liner, trying to observe myself and get the proportions and likeness right! And also a digital one :) Also 2 sketches I did in the bus yesterday, it's a long trip so I have to do something Have a nice day! RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-20-2013 Some stuff from today! RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-24-2013 It's been a busy week with finals approaching, more updates soon! Meanwhile here's a still life from today Have a nice day! RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 07-27-2013 Some random stuff, still busy with finals, but after next week there's going to be some free days before the next quarter starts! :) Thanks for looking! RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - wla91 - 08-21-2013 Hey guys, I'm finally on vacations... Until September 2nd :|. Anyways, here is some stuff I've done, I have also been reading Loomis and Bridgman and trying to observe and apply what I've read rather than just copying everything. That's all for now, gotta keep practicing! Hope you're all good! :) RE: Wladimir's sketchbook -C&C appreciated! - Tygerson - 08-21-2013 Lots of great practice--I really like the colors in that cup/headphone study. They have that "nicer than a photograph cause maybe they've been painted from life" look.
