Odd's sketchbook

This is my sketchbook, mixture of old and new. My goal is to update it often and grow as an artist.

I started spitpainting, I like how the time limit makes me think more about what I do and don't need to waste time on, this one was 'catnap'.

A really nice start! I would recommend doing some studies from photography and life, starting with black and white pictures for value study :)

I have a lot to learn so thanks for the encouragement. I'm focusing on anatomy/hair studies this week in between work, but I'll definitely do a couple at the weekend.

Linux crashed, lost my file memory but could still see the thumbnail.. at least there's evidence, what did I learn? Not to trust a kingston pendrive, Linux doesn't like it.

Nice start Bee. Love the zombie. If you wanted to give it a little extra ick you could amp the saturation and specular a little in the gash. ;)

I'll try that thanks Amit, she's looking far too pretty to be dead at present! I'm going to be uploading them 5 at a time alongside commissioned work if I'm given permission :)

Great job so far, dude! To get better you really gotta keep working on your basics man.Eat your anatomy for breakfast and just start pooping studies man (while doing photo studies think about both managing skintones and correct anatomy, make yourself think about more than one thing at a time so you'd be faster and better later).Wherever...boom,study.Then try and apply it.That's such a universal advice I know, but I think this'll be most useful to you right now.

It'll be up with today's study, as soon as I top up the internet after I meet the accountant this afternoon :) Bit busy sorting out taxes and work deadlines today but I will make time! [possibly out of string]

O.k male anatomy and a quick character silhouette made using lasso in about a minute I'll upload the stages of it as I go, trying something new.
