So, there was this contest from Riot games and their game League of legends, which I used to play some time ago, and this would have been my entry if I hadn't heard about it like the day before it ended. Anyway, even though I couldnt finish it I kinda liked my idea and decided to work on it some more and maybe finish it just for the sake of learning some new stuff.

Here is what I've done so far, and any critique or observation would be very welcome as I really feel like I'm in the monkey house.

Thanks! :)

OK, time to post. Some practice paintings. I think that i'll try to include these in an illustration for the bloodsports as a backstory came to mind while I was working on them. Not much originality but it will make for good practice. Also got into the grayscale study lately. Kind of an eye oppener.

Thanks a lot Nick nd Seelverkeeper!

Joined my first bloodsport this week.. was quite an experience. Though I started late, like in the last half of the second week, I found ways to waste time on not so important elements. The result was that I scrambled in the last hours to get the painting done and more likely helped disjoining instead of unifing it. Anyways it was a great learning experience and gave me some objectives to focus on: composition and them spell effects.

This is the final posted image and an earlier version I wish I had expored instead, plus some practice stuff done during it.
