Unfinished Piece

Trying to put my characters in a scene. Gonna keep making bigger scenes, also in environments soon!

Really enjoyed making this one. :)
Altho, I'm trying to find out how you can get an awesome looking outline of the characters, it feels the outlines of my characters just don't feel right and too flat. Any advice on this?

More coming up soon!

Hi!

I see you are trying to render a bit more like in the dinosaurs. It is good ;)

I liked these rough sketches you did. Even in that stage you can see how they would look like finished pieces. That's good for quick ideas.

Awesome sketchbook!

Your choices of color are all really wonderful, and the mood in these are really great. The use of softness in these, especially that GoT study, are really nice as well.

The paint is looking pretty good so far. You construction could use some more work, though. Some of these creatures and people have wonky proportions/elements that detract the the painting aspect. Just being able to give that nice looking paint to have a good base to sit on will really help.

The two character designs you did are really nice with just a few construction issues that could be ironed out. Gonna be looking forward to the next update! :]

I'm really digging your stuff man! I like the way you think your colors... I'll just advise you to be more careful with your lighting... really think of those cast shadows and reflected lights. You're doing somewhat fine with the values, but those "physical properties" of your lighting are throwing it off.

Those portraits studies that you've been doing are awesome to observe this... just pay a little bit more attention to it!

But you're on the right track sir! Just keep it up!

Hmm there is something of your brush work that seems off, not sure what it's, but just feels like mud in a way. For the lack of a nicer way to say it....

But overall, your studies are heading in the right direction. Keep it going mate.
