I think you mixed it decently, i can tell the drums are programmed, which isnt my favorite personally, but i get a lot of modern metal goes for that out of necessity over aesthetic. you know its techinically performed well, maybe apply that sense of technical you know playing in time and being accurate to art. If you wanted to go anywhere with music id just focus on sounding different because it really sounds like a cannibal corpse song, almost like a 1 for 1 copy of some of their riffs/vocal style, etc. just without the speed, more slow, (like but not classified) doom metal.
So like your axe dude, his anatomy is weird, his pose doesnt really accomodate his character. he's clenched up like a little girl with an axe. you could swap that pose with little red riding hood with a napsack over her shoulder and itd work. make the silhouette distinct to the character, just blacked out it should feel like the executioner.
frazetta drew it like this

you know push the plant of his feet in the ground, the width of the axe held horizontally feels heavier, more intense. and if you wanna do a more one arm thing, think paul bunyon, but that would look more casual. This dude kills people, hes a cool design, kind of an eddie? from iron maiden face, but yea, youd grow a lot faster if you didnt paint and focused on anatomy rather intensely and drawing cool poses, but not spending hours painting something to try to cover the shortcomings of it
Thanks for the feedback, I can see what you mean about the pose but I still like how casual it is. I wanted it to be like "ah just another day in hell chopping people's heads off."
To be honest I didn't think too much about it, I just started drawing it and that's how it came out .
As far as music goes I have no interest in making money off of it, it's just fun for me. I like cool shit and I like to make it myself just to be closer to it.... im a fan of fighting and mma so I spent 2 years training muay thai and bjj 5 times a week, then I felt like I understood it well enough to stop but I never wanted to actually be a fighter.
It stings a little to hear you say you think I ripped off a song, definitely not but I grew up in the 80s and 90s with older cousins who listened to heavy music so I've been immersed in that world since I was about 6. Slayer, cannibal corpse, morbid angel, death, entombed, etc..so if it sounds akin I'm not suprised. The smoke I exhale is going to smell like the smoke I breathe in.
You can listen to cannibal corpse and say "they ripped off a slayer riff just tuned down and played slower" you can pretty much do that with anyone, we're all just inhaling eachothers smoke. If you post your music I promise I'll be able to say that it sounds like this or that.
I pretty much hate bands who worry so much about being different just to be different...its like "hey man I like cheeseburgers, I'll eat them here or there.... I just love that shit....You can keep your eye ball pudding"
I dont know what I'm really doing, this is how just I'm dealing with the stress of providing for a family with no safety net. If I fuck up we're out in the street...so it's kinda late for me to make a change because all f this rests on my back.but sometimes the weight crushes me. So this is just a way for me to still be an individual and not just a dispenser of utility I guess.
