Intriguing experiments, but these generators are basically huge statistics machines that determine the color of this pixel and that pixel based on probabilities gathered from millions of images and keywords. As far as I know, they have no concept of the things they represent.
The text generators such as the recent ChatGPT work the same way, adding word after word by mere sequential probability without knowing what they are talking about, sometimes contradicting themselves in the same paragraph.
Fortunately, the teachers are starting to recognize when their students have GPT write their essays. Inversely, an illustrator was banned from a subreddit because the illustration they posted looked AI-generated. It wasn't. We might be entering an age of confusion. Stay sane, everyone!
