Great work diving in like that - with the labelling of features, pick some to highlight in a smaller sketch maybe? a close up of an eye or claw, through in some observations.

Urrggh it's gross, I love it. Would probably suggest instead of flat black tones, a sepia to match with the worn book look. Otherwise, excellent ink texturing.
