Again, really enjoying the poses of your figures and for this one the character expressions are also very impressive and varied, really helps make the image much more interesting. Keep it up!Thank you! I'm currently planning an 'Authority, but 'Cryin' at the Discoteque' piece. Alcazar - Crying At The Discoteque (Video) But, it's stalled at the moment, as I need to do back and collect poses to ref. I do try to make the faces somewhat different, even if they're doing a similar thing.

Love how the rendering looks on this one. The deep shadows really make the light hitting his hair and body glow.
I like seeing you go for so many kinds of poses and clothing! I gotta be less afraid to try drawing more eclectic stuff. The last illustration you posted is sick.
No harm in putting together a portfolio, so I'd say go for it if you haven't. Maybe it'll come in handy later if not now
Thank you, Ruthwood! In another sketchbook I'm been really focusing on values in some studies and then put the 'Yellow for forehead, red for cheeks/nose/ears and blue for jawline/neck' face temperature thing ( 82181df6330fcb3655a2e40c6c43287a.png (754×884)) But, more like the 1st example, I would try like 2nd, as more diffused version.
I'm actually super self-conscious about making sure they look different, so much it can take me out of the 'flo'. Need to learn poses and faces having similarity is A.OK. However, it was super fun gathering all the reference materials and making notices on poses and outfit ideas! Mixing and matching! Thanks on the kind words about the latest. It was time to stop putting off using my more expensive thicker paper, to finally try out the acrylic marker + pencils combo. I really dig it and hope to do more. Maybe even gouache and pencils. Lawd knows my paints need some lovin'.

I had the image of a sexy guy in a mesh top with his eyes cut off from the frame and flicking his wrist inward. So, I went about and did it! I saw the perfect ref ages ago of pretty much the exact pose and angle, but alas I couldn't find it. But, I did manage to find something similar. That curve is what I wanted to maintain, but I was also conscious that I'm drawing a man, not a woman, so his hips can't jut out that large. I found the angle of the arm the hardest. I attempted to draw him with a biting lip, but it looked terrible, thus switched to an easier to draw smirk.

My 'Draw this in your Style' Challenge has been broken! Don't really have a style, but this was fun. I like how the OG artist left gaps with lines to indicate a fluffy cardigan.

I decided to finally redo a conceptual art piece I tried to draw around 7 or more years ago, when I was super depressed. Of a woman lying on a bed of roses, whilst a black tar like substance spills out of her. The usually anxiety cropped up, so I never completed it. Here, I started again fresh and I'm definitely planning to finish it, even if it takes a lot of time. I wanted to try it in colour, but mapping out the values in graphite got the best of me. WIP currently.
Here's the first attempt:

And, here's the latest:

Lastly, here's a value study of one of my favourite all time DJs/Producers, Atjazz. Really wanted to challenge myself to render out the bust shot, without the aid of a blending stump. I'm wanting to find a deep, dark graphite pencil and knowing how to scan, so it consistently doesn't look washed-out.
