Hey man, this may not actually help you, but I started to do a paintover of sorts and it basically just turned into an impromptu value study and play for myself.
Thought I'd post it here anyway, and maybe it could help you with values and planes? I didn't really nail the likeness because I didn't measure properly but whatev.
