Oh man, the water in that ocean pic. Amazing dude, really nice play of hard and soft edges.
The biggest problem I see repeated over is slight perspective issues. Which you are obviously tackling, especially in this last post. Getting to the point where you can wing a box is the next step in my opinion, for example in that last skull study, the painted one. The texture, colour and edges are really nice, but what is letting it down is that the perspective is slightly off. I can see from the progress shots on the left that you just winged the box and thats where all of the problems originated. If you draw in the HL and place the box in really well, I think you will really nail the study the next time.
Really great effort though, you are seriously kicking the drawing monster in the teeth. Love it.
