Hey Paca, nice updates! Really dig the still life study of Zord. The rendering is great and I like the looser brushstrokes in the background, contrasts nice with the subject (:

About the lasso tool, I haven't used it that much for my paintings yet, but basically it helps you to come up with shapes with nice, crisp edges very quickly. I know for example that sometimes artists lay out basic shapes with the lasso tool, then they go on refining those shapes with gradients, trough painting, with textures, softening out some of the edges - I think there are a lot of ways to work with it. Unfortunately I don't have a good tutorial or vid about this bookmarked. I did a quick search on the topic but I didn't really come up with something helpful, here's a video though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox4AEhm_ZTI I think it's maybe not the best example but it might give you a little idea about it.
