My life mistakes as a artist:
Mistake number one: spending three years not drawing.
For three years I didn't draw from life, I just drew from imagination. This mistake is the reason I haven't improved at all.
Mistake number two: not sticking with the fundamentals.
If I stuck with the fundamentals I would of been a lot better than what I am now. I messed up and now I have to play catch up and I have to work twice as hard.
Mistake number 3: being stupid
If I wasn't a moron when I was younger I would of listened to what people said and I would have been a lot better than what I am now.
Mistake number 4: not drawing enough
I should of drawn more. The last three years are a waste of time. I wasted three years of my life. Not drawing the right things, not studying the right way. Doing the wrong practices and going off course. This is the biggest mistake of my life. The one I regret the most. I should of sat down and studied. I should of drawn from life, really dig into the fundamentals.
But I didn't and now I'm paying for my mistakes.
Number 5: drawing too fast.
I treat everything like a gesture drawing which everything isn't. That's why all my work looks rushed and unfinished. I'm still in that mind set which is a huge weakness and is why I haven't be able to learn anything.
