Mannnn really nice watercolours dude. I think that you are completely right sticking to your guns and working in water colour. My advice would be to do your 'exercises' digitally. Like anatomy studies, colour, composition studies etc. But do all of your personal work and finished pieces in water colour. Not only does this give you a good division between what is study and what is for you, but it means that you can leverage to good of digital (quick, and doesnt cost money to do repetitive mistakes) and the enjoyment you get out of traditional work.
