yeah, the basics. One would think that this was in the "basic" level, and I'm not in it anymore. as it occurs it's quite the opposite. obiously the issue is construction, lighting (values), and color - in that order.

the same night I posted this I was so damn frustrated that I've spent 3 hours (went to sleep 4 am) drawing only faces. the results were hidious. As if I forgotten everything I know about the anatomy of the face. everything I know about the construction of the skull and facial muscles just ... evaporated.

so that's my big next goal.
will update tommorrow with some sketches.

I will forge that weakness into strength...
