Gliger: thats a good observation, ya i was trying to do some figure studies with that and the memory studies. The reason the line weight isnt on point is simply because im using ballpoint and making mistakes, trying to gear my lines/proportions into accuracy.
I did however spend more time and attention today on line weight as there were a lot of things i was neglecting, like completing contours, thickening lines etc. im working from raul moreno's masters of anatomy book, im 150/300 pages through, i have this goal to complete it hopefully this year, at least copying each finished drawing once. its been really fun and has helped expand my pose visual library. His lines are pretty straight forward and not abstract, im trying to get a good style to base my drawings off, the invented ones at least. I do understand line weight, and can get even carried away with it in portraits/quick sketch stuff, but not really with this ballpoint study stuff, which is more about anatomy
