You've already got great advices. There is something really interesting in those crazy brush strokes in your environments. I wonder how it would look on the canvas with a real paint :D Good to see some still life and pose studies. If you want to draw/paint characters you've got to focus more on fundamentals. Just pick some Loomis e-book or whoever you like and practice as much as you can. Also, I know it's not a rule and every person have his/her own approach to do this but I see mostly soft brush or smudge tool which sometimes make the image look plastic and not believable. Maybe try experimenting with hard round brush or mixing those two and see if you like it :) But that's just me saying :P There is no right or wrong here.
