Hi Stardust, the first image is awesome, I love the stippling.
The silhouette of the second one looks good too, I think you could benefit from looking at the edges though; get some hard edges in there, it's all too soft. I mean all the edges too, not just the outer edges - whenever the form transitions the light changes and there's either a hard or a soft edge - http://www.ctrlpaint.com/videos/hard-and...adow-edges explains it better and shows a good, simple, technique for doing hard and soft edges in photoshop.
