Traditional -> Digital
#1
This is going to be a very general topic.

I've always wondered if anyone else has had any issues transitioning from Traditional Sketching to Digital. I've noticed in the few years I've been 'painting' & 'sketching', that my lines from my physical sketchbook are 100% nicer than my digital.

I figure, I am not the only one that has had this realization, and I won't be the last. So I figure we'd get a thread up and running for people who have any questions and solutions for getting the same quality from the 2 separate mediums.

Feel free to ask questions and share stories.

Well, apparently, a Cintiq gives you better lines than a tablet. So that's one thing. Also, PS sucks for inking. There are other software more appropriate, like Manga Studio and up to a point, Flash (with the paintbrush and the thick and thin setting on.) I think some people also use Paint tool SAI for the lines as well.

It's also important to check your settings on your tablet and you software to make sure they are well set for you.
