Gliger's Sketchbook
Sculpting is teaching me a lot about rendering/painting, now, I still have to regularly go back to doing perspective studies because ultimately everything relies on that skill, but this is nice

thanks dude, and nope, I don't really have any site I keep up

can't wait till I can get back to gesture and design, I should still do a few long, tight structure studies next week

Kasia Jurkiewicz has awesome stuff as well

need to start thinking about noses in 6 planes, these plus another 2 for the curve back into the face

also need to pay more attention to this division between the different muscle layers of the abdomen

need to pay more attention to that upper portion curve from overlapping the medium and lower portions

for a while I thought other than the diaphragm, the serratus was one of the main muscles that assist in respiration, but it seems it is accessory at best.

I got a good book on this, should browse it later, for now, proko

on average the humerus can only lift up to 90º, to go past that, you gotta move the scapula

Morninggggggg

struggling a bit to make sense of how the lats can attach to the lowest 3 ribs if they are covered by the external oblique, so I'm watching dissection vids, idk how accurate this is but

so the overlap with the scapula is actually an attachment not just an overlap

lumbar triangle

OK ACCORDING TO SCOTT EATON THOSE EXTRA FIBERS DON'T ATTACH TO THE RIBS, BUT TO THE FRONT EDGE OF THE SERRATUS ANTERIOR

figuring this stuff out, is the ischium subcutaneous when you lift your leg? idk, it definitely presses pretty hard against the skin, but I bet the glutes always overlap with it

GOTTA REMEMBER TO CHALLENGE MYSELF AND DRAW THE FOLDS FROM THE INSIDE OF THE CLOTHES, making the figure invisible, that seems to be the thing that really pushes my brain when handling folds.

finally understood the relationship between the glut. max. and the ischium bump (for some reason called it coccix in the page), so, when you do splits the glutes stop connecting with it and just slide up
