Some sketchbook pages, they're A3 so they're too big to scan so I had to take pictures of them. The effects I've added are for bringing out clarity in the pencil lines, not for show or something weird like that.

from the past 4 days, posting on permanoobs for a while, try to get that feedback from professional artists seeing as they're all hanging out there
get them whilst they're young before we have another craig mullins on our hands lol

I can see you're also a fan of Scott Rob's perspective lessons! Quick question - how do you NOT get confused with so many lines working all about? I get confused when so much is in there :s

some more stuff
[attachment=48282] [attachment=48284] some inspiration, not my work obviously lel @rmd - Yes I do get confused until I eventually give up and try again. Then I get confused again and start again. Eventually I will make a new layer and turn down the opacity but it takes a while for me to stop being an idiot. <3 @davidKatara - xD Why is it strange? Is my art weird?

It is really nice to see your hard work on perspective. It really is :D

danny you're really nailin that perspective shit haha; better than i could ever do!
keep goin man, never stop drawing chicks the way you do i fuckin love it! also, i saw on permanoobs (though i'm not on that site) that you are interested in painting like bougeuoueuruaura w/e lawl. well, so a I... It's really hard i'll tell ya that, and very few pros can even do it because the time invested in refining his technique is insane. if you look through his stuff you'll notice that he's just doing more of the same thing over and over only slightly differently, but the way it's executed is quite insane and technically way beyond many oil painters and even digital painters. that article i sent you about painting in gray on muddy colors explains alot about it, and idunno, if you ask me i think you should definately keep working on your values before trying to tackle the master's work; when i study his stuff the hue variations are so coplex that they confuse me, but... i have a figured out way to begin approaching how to paint like him... his values are perfect, he probably studied in charcoal for a looong ass time before touching paints. first ya gotta do a few studies of his stuff obviously and analyze the patterns he's using, it's pretty basic stuff at it's core, just understanding light and form. But one thing ya gotta keep in mind is just that hue variation creates beauty, so you must be constantly knocking that saturation and hue thing up and down left and right and eventually ya learn how to do it! I'm really struggling to learn his shit too, but i feel it will be worth it, soo worth it. Besides rigney, he's probably my favorite artist, so i just wanted to mention those things!

Yeah I will be focusing on values a lot but I also want to get my colour down at some point. When I study his stuff it just confuses me too. I just don't understand it lol. But yeah absolutely, in time. I must create a larger variation in my hues though the way that he does it like you said as I find my use of colour is flat and boring. UUGGGH I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO IT...just you wait. Just you wait. The time will come upon us Oh and whaat?! Noo, you can do perspective, you can do it better than me! I was terrible all it took was half a week! Thats all, thats nothing brojam

danny, ya upload so much stuff, i get your motivated and all, but ya probably could save a lotta time just uploading like 2 or three things you want feedback on! idk maybe your internets like cheetah beast mode mine aint.
you think i can do perspective better than you?? that's wierd... maybe i'm not seeing something lawl. i like your zombie guy and shark they make me giggle for some reason especially in the group shot, idk they just look goofy to me ;p. He's just like uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurhg and the sharks like MURMURMURMURMUR hmmm trust me danny values are #1 in painting and that will never change, everyone knows it, even craig mullins preaches it. BUT! temperature is important, and i that trick i told ya about knockin the hues around maybe i'll go more in depth... obvsly you need to get a good flat base layed down first because that's the core, get that sht tight. then get like a brush that isn't too hard you know like a soft brush and if you're in like the reds and you want a cooler color, knock it over to the violets and desaturate; want hotter go the other way, saturate more, avoid greens though greens are ugly james gurney will tell ya that, use olives and really desaturate greens instead. just gotta experiment with it i cant stress enough! i like to think that you can convey ALOT with diff hues, just look at rigney's dark queen guenevere advanced. It's practically greyscale, but it will work in just about any color http://cryptcrawler.deviantart.com/art/D...-363207550 It's nuts, but he's doin the same shit, making as much hue variation as possble with texture brushes and blending them in slowly that's how you get that effect. also using photo bashing helps :> but that's not the point! gotta get your hands dirty, more dirty, but don't forget to clean it up but you can DOO IT!
