Hi there!
I was directed to this place by Amit, and have kept thinking about it for months... then he announced the Crimson Crucible and I thought, "Why not throw something in?" And so I did, because I'm one of those "leap before you look" kinda people, haha.
Anyway, you can call me Asa or Ara! I live in the U.S., in Florida. I've been studying art since middle school really, and I've taken a handful of community college art classes. I wanted to go to art school, but that dream was not to come. My parents both got really sick after I graduated high school and I kinda had to shift my focus from "getting the art dream" to "finding a way to support myself" in case the unspeakable happened.
Anyway, I just graduated university with a degree in English Lit, and I do instructional design at a little company for the moment. Right now I'm using the day job to save up all my money, and also so I can focus on some personal projects I've wanted to do for years. Namely a webcomic and learning animation!
I run a little group on DeviantArt devoted to learning animation: http://learnanimation.deviantart.com/
I write dumb stories too. My animations and my comics kinda surround the books I write.
Anyway, I'll stop talking now! Back to that challenge :)
