Super update!

Yea the only way I've found is to limit the amount of water, the shift occurs when the water evaporates. If you paint it fresh from the tube, the shift will be minimal and the colour closer to what you see when its wet. However, the matte quality of gouache limits the levels of dark you can hit.

@dodeqaa- Thanks man, I will try to keep the gouache fresh next time for painting gouache maybe use a wet towel or a pan. Hope to hangout again man.

That witch came out amazing! The clothing, the color, the pose, it's all good! It's just that face that's really bringing down the piece at the moment. Get your faces to the same quality as your designs! You have some really nice work here.
