Hey Adam! Fancy seeing you here! I just joined the daggers! You should come into the Daggers google hang out sometime.

Wow! Nice sketchbook! It's looking really magic - oriented

Randy, hey it is good seeing you here. I would have replied sooner but it seems my notifications got turned off, sorry for the delay!

Rognoll, thank you, that is what I am hoping for... someday! For now, they just keep telling me to try to improve, in which, I take to heart.

I just recently completed this illustration. I was almost sad to see it come to an end because I enjoyed it so much. Well, on to the next!

I call this one, The Conjuring. You can see the process on YouTube here: http://youtu.be/plO7tRzVre8

Hey Randy, how do you go about finding that? I only know how to go into a hangout with someone in my circles. I don't use G+ too often.

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - AdamMiconi - 11-28-2013

I've recently updated my minotaur piece. It never sat right with me originally and I'm much happier with the revision. On to the next piece!

Love the Breaking Batman! You really captured his likeness with just the eyes and mouth. Great sketch book too.

Thanks. I really wanted to focus on those details because I knew that's what gave him his iconic look. Even the tiny segment of upper lip showing through his mustache. Thanks again!

A few new additions to add. I've done a few studies, one is some weird alien dude where I was playing with lighting, a vintage style look, and a few other things, done pretty quick; another is a karate warrior, he's pretty generic but I wasn't going for design, just painting fast; then I have a study of some line art I've done, it's the dragon at the castle gates; last is an actual piece that will go in my portfolio. I've got a few segments of it done but I'm not going to show the entire piece until it's finished and there is still a lot of work left, in the mean time, here are two screenshots still in the value stage, hopefully I'll find some time shortly to finish it.

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - EduardoGaray - 12-21-2013

hey you already have good stuff going on here, and definitely looks like you know what needs to be done to keep improving, so keep working! that purple piece with the kinda necromancer tipe of character tells me that you are about to make a big jump forward.
A couple master studies and some anatomy grinding and thats it, level up!

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - AdamMiconi - 12-21-2013

Thanks Eduardo. I really appreciate the motivation, I am hoping for that big jump so I just keep pushing forward. I have actually been thinking of a few master studies lately so that's going to be fun!

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - AdamMiconi - 03-05-2014

Where does the time go? It feels like was on here yesterday, yet, a month has already come and gone. Looks like I've got some updating to do.

First off, I've been keeping Facebook updated. That's where I'm at the most and pretty much everyone I know, even most of you guys but I get confused of who's who from real names to aliases and so forth. Anyway, hit me up on Facebook!

Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/adammiconi

I also got my YouTube channel up and running and I've been trying to add a lot of stuff on there. It's been pretty busy trying to get some good videos posted. I guess they are okay but so far, nothing seems to be a game changer. Lately I've been sketching on my lunch break so I started a Lunch Break series on YouTube which seems to be the most welcomed thing so far. Still nothing to give insane page view or anything though.

Then of course there have been the good 'ol website updates. It seems to finally be doing something. It's gone from 5 viewers a day to between 50-100 and is gaining new views every day. That's been a nice change even though I know that's not a lot of page views, it's nice to know people are coming buy and also returning.

And now to post up a few of the projects I've been working on. Some good, some bad, some downright ugly but I like to see other peoples successes as well as what they consider a failure so I'll post mine up too. Who knows.

And an Alchemy Raven.

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - AdamMiconi - 03-07-2014

An alien monkey thing in Alchemy. I realized just recently that it looks like he has a mini face on a bigger face. Haha!

Also, the Lunch Break sketch for today. A bunch of unfinished sketches that I feel have some potential. I think I'll take some a bit further eventually.

Last, is anyone on YouTube? I started a channel http://www.youtube.com/adammiconiart and i need subscribers and people to subscribe to. :-)

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - AdamMiconi - 03-11-2014

I'm trying to make the deadline for the Diablo 3 contest but there seems to be a lot of nik-nacks getting in the way so hopefully i can pull this off. Here is a little area that is semi-rendered so far but I still need to kick up the vibrance a lot as it's pretty dull and lifeless right now.

I've also done another Lunch Break sketch of this ape-like monster dude. I didn't have a whole lot of time on this one this time so this is as far as I got. I feel it's got some good potential to it and might take it further when I finally get a chance.

Last is two more Alchemy sketches. I can't seem to get enough of that program lately, I just love it!

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - AdamMiconi - 05-01-2014

I've been really busy trying to get some more work coming in that I haven't done much personal work to show but here are three new pieces for now.

RE: Adam's Sketchbook - AdamMiconi - 04-07-2017

I was about to say it's time for my yearly update and then realized I haven't posted here since 2014, so in that case, how's everyone been over the years? :'-D Haha!

Well, needless to say, i"m not all that great at staying current with forums. I fair a lot better on Instagram but I'm hoping to get further into the forum life but no promises. After all, it's been 3 years since I've posted! The sad part is, looking back, I don't feel I've really improved, but I still enjoy it none-the-less.

Here is an update to my online profiles since they are probably all severely outdated.

And now for a few new recent pieces. I've been working mainly in Procreate lately for ease of use. If you want to see my other stuff, Instagram and my website are probably the best places to look.
