Pineapple's sketchbook

This is my sketchbook, I'll dump in here as much of my studies as possible. Currently I'm going  through Michael Hampton's book. In the first section I went through making quick sketches since his first lesson talks about gesture.
The following quick sketches were done with a 4B Lumograph pencil and a simple short bond printer paper (except the last one).

The execution was done lightly, since I was only focused in capturing the movement of each reference from sketchdaily as well as getting my arm used to drawing from the overhand grip again. The quick sketch session lasted for around 1 hour, with each reference photo lasting from 30 secs- 5 min.

The last image was done in digital and by imagination. I did it as an attempt to get my brain used to making foreshortened  human figures without reference and ultimately to make some awesome poses.

WELCOME!!!
Real nice gestures, you already have some super dynamic poses.
I used to love taking screenshots of anime and then trying to put realistic anatomy over the poses.
can just be a fun way to get some interesting poses

look forward to seeing more of your work

I agree, your gestures have some good expressivity. In your intro you mentioned storyboarding as one of your goals. Gestures will help a lot with that.

Not all natural movements and view angles yield clear drawings, that's why everybody cheats, for art!
