Look At My Yeah!



First up, this drawing I made of (oh god, it's this guy) back in june. I say (oh god, it's this guy) not because i dislike the character, but because i happen to have a special interest on this guy, STILL ONGOING???, lasting FIVE YEARS>??? i wasn't even this obsessed with my little pony when i was a toddler, what the hell!! anyway...yeah, my first drawing of ''spamton'' was from all the way back in may of 2023, the biggest difference between how i drew him now vs how i drew him then (old art here for reference,) is that now i seem to really like drawing him as a barely comprehensible being. it IS fun to draw him that way, though, so i understand myself. haha i'm drawing him right now and making use of the flipaclip ''blur and smudge'' tools to make him look all melty and distorted hopefully i'll finish it and i can share it here



I also have this, concept art for two main characters for a webseries I want to make/was working on earlier this year (i didn't draw their hands because i didn't feel like it, you get the idea) The art is meant to be drawn in a very amateur way on purpose, since I think it would help with the strange/off kilter kind of feel that i'd wanna go with for the thing. I was inspired by old flash animations and the recent resurgence of them as a tool to create unnerving/horror animations (this project would not be horror though) More art from the almost finished but incomplete ''pilot'' here and here.
What it WOULD be...is basically a slice of life kind of series taking place at the end of our world, following the aftermath of a ''man made'' rapture event, where the only two human characters we see are ''dante'' and a currently unnamed character. Both characters would have different mindsets and ways of approaching their situation, with dante being an atheist, and the unnamed character being a potestant christian (the religion i was raised in before leaving.) i chose to have that as a dynamic between the two characters because i think it could be interesting given the context of the shows setting. Some other information about the characters is that dante is supposed to work as ''the weatherman,'' while the unnamed character has a pet cat named ''lucy.'' i want both of these to be important somehow but not sure how, i do find it interesting how dante mentions cats in their dialogue during the pilot though, so maybe...............

honestly i think i'm just gonna have to use links because i cant figure this out which sucks cause i want people to actually look at my art

I could probably find you the more in depth guide on how to post image as it would seriously help you get more replied but it still pretty quiet around here lately so yeah doing anything to get any type of feed back if your posting for more than just showing pretty image and monologue.

also tbh most of the reason i'm posting here is because i like praise i'm just gonna be blunt lol (criticism is good too but i'm still trying to build up my self esteem and am pretty critical of myself already, i just don't know how to make my art look like i want it to like making the anatomy better and the poses and stuff less stiff)

Alright so this is the OC I was talking about a couple of days ago


His name is 'virdle' (I got his name from mashing the words ''virus'' and ''delete'' together and then changing some letters around lol)
He's kinda like bonzibuddy if he was someone's OC that was made by me in particular. because of what he's supposed to be, as a virtual desktop assistant thingy, that also means that he's my first and only OC that could technically be ''real'' which is really cool to me. Also, this art is from 2024 so it's kind of old, I'm redesigning him a little cause he kinda looks more like some newgrounds character or an incidental invader zim character more than what he's actually supposed to be, also, i don't think any company back in the 90's or 2000's would find it acceptable to have an imp demon as their mascot?? so, yeah. I'm gonna be turning him into a ladybug so that i can keep his colors and design mostly the same, just with minor adjustments to make him look a little more authentically late 90's (which i wasn't around to experience, so i don't have a lot to go off of)

he also meows. you're gonna find that for a lot of stuff i add to my OC's, my only reason for it is that i ''thought it'd be funny.'' this is one of those things. i imagine that it's kinda like a vocal stim or a nervous tic for him, that he usually tries to avoid doing around other people since he finds it a bit embarrassing. i think he'd also be pretty illiterate when it comes to the modern internet, cause he was made for an internet that's pretty much nothing like the one most of us are familiar with nowadays. like he'd still try and exist within it but he prooobably wouldn't be a very great ''assistant'' and couldn't tell you what in the world a ''skibidi toilet'' is to save his life (which is probably for the best...) due to him being ''obsolete''/abandonware he also breaks out of character and forgets his scripts super easily and he's likely to just improvise on the spot to make up for it. his reference picture doesn't communicate this like at all which i'm gonna try to fix in my new reference image but he's also really anxiety prone & sorta jumps between excitement and panic quite a bit. when he gets particularly excited, his grammar and spelling in his ''speech'' (in dialogue boxes) starts to degrade a bit too as a tell, meant to represent the text eqivilant of someone talking too fast to keep up with themselves. he also really likes to be the center of attention, probably because he was the ''mascot'' and the center of attention to his software developers.

however, since he is based off of an existing piece of malware, that's also a part of his character. he himself is not malicious but his 'software' shares a lot of similarities to the one he was based off of. meaning that in the back of his head, while he was doing his job, he was also aware that he was indirectly harming those same people he was helping by infecting their computers. just like i used to have a fascination with the ''old/early'' internet, he has the same sort of fascination towards our world. he is kind of forced to work as a ''double agent,'' he sees us humans almost as ''gods'' for creating him, but he is also helping some humans to steal data and inject a bunch of adware/malicious software into the computers of other humans.

eventually, the internet grew up past its infancy without him. the silver lining for him is that now he's able to fulfill the purpose he was made for without any strings attached, even if he may not be very good at it due to his lack of knowledge about today's internet, and the fact that a lot of his features have all been adapted into other individual programs over the years. at least there will always be some people (like me lol) who have a weird appreciation for weird internet things like him just for the fact that he exists. i think that's kinda, sweet in a way?? he's probably one of my favorite characters i've made
