Cheers guys, all the feedback was greatly helpful! Darktiste I loved your idea of the coral horns so i worked that into one of my pieces and i love how its looking so far. The overall consensus was that 5 was the group favorite. I liked that one as well for the composition. So i spent some time fleshing that one out to start with, its still quite rough in a lot of areas but im liking the overall tone at the minute, although admittedly a tad on the darker side but it could still work. Here is my progress on this one:
But i also really wanted to explore the Bio-mech mermaid hybrid concept from thumb 1 a bit more so I also fleshed her out also. SO i though I would share my progress on that one also. I did put in a lot more hours on this one than i was planning when i started but i got into the flow and couldnt stop. Didn't get much sleep last night :)
@Lege1 your thumbs look really great dude. I like 2 and 4 as they show a nice flow and would let you really play with creating the nice motion she/he is creating under water. But then i really like 5 to as the balanced composition and view from below could really make this a strong piece., almost getting a Poseidon vibe with it.
