Personally i am of the opinion that for presentation sake it often best if you don't want to invest to much time into something to go for strong silhouette and shape language.
The problem of working with silhouette and blocking to much is it not a easy task in perspective and thing start to blend into one an other.
Rather than presenting a loose pass i think just try to go for a second line art pass by lowering the opacity of the ''layers or group'' and doing quick clean up is good enough just to clarify your shape in intention. An other option to add clarity to a rought without going the lineart route is doing a quick lasso color pass on individual object so you got some kind of visual separation because line art can sometime be to chaotic for someone else than the artist to interpret.
An other solution If you want to present really rough maybe just adding like bold text of a appropriate color to explain what some of the element are in like 1 to 3 word can also work.
