something pretty simple and lazy from last month. i heavily referenced a movie still from The Long Goodbye for the pose.

i've never been good with color or composition so it's preeeeetty rough here. the colors are very washed out and overexposed because i was messing around with using color gradients in clip studio paint. in retrospect it doesn't look... great.

i spent a lot of time drawing that hand to the point where i left the construction lines in the "finished" drawing for the sake of moving on. i later did some hand studies that I'll post here soon that i feel look a lot better.
