It's been awhile...




Life's been touch-and-go. Find myself in the same ol' state of inertia, anticipating on the precipice of the next big crisis or life change out of desperation as normal. It's just hard, and it won't get any easier, plus the world could end, so may as well get busy and try to maintain that energy.

I had more equipment die, so I have downsized my setup and drawing tablet for more on-the-go work. My XPen display won't turn on, and while bigger is sometimes better, the Galaxy S7+ was too big and heavy to draw on comfortably, without a surface to rest it on. The S10 FE is just as good, with a more manageable size and weight to be able to use on the train after a day of desk-work and wrists made of paper. 

I haven't been up to much art - but I ain't going to get better by doing nothing, so for January - have something.

Some people have Zen-tangle. I have, whatever the hell this is...




After fudging around with that tiling pattern, and because I am secretly a grandma with grandma hobbies, I have some POD fabric arriving of a throwaway sword pattern I did last night, and I'll make a dress with it or something. 





And with what spoons I could gather, some actual intentional attempt to paint form with a random imaginary botanic study and pick apart issues as I found them.
