I was trying to convey the idea that the boy was falling (like from another dragons claws) and she just caught him and this dragon just flew by. I didn't want to draw the scene that would be bloody like if the dragon would hold him with his teeth. I was trying to avoid any violent scene like that so I painted the dragon like he's not prepared to eat him yet. But just by putting into words I realised that the feeling of thrill would be more emphasised if I painted the scene like they would actually be fighting depicting the moment before this dragon would snap him, so he would have more open mouth like he's about to tear the boy up.

Also thanks for all the comments. I will watch your videos.
