So this first one i spent about an hour and a half on, hence why its kinda loose in the details and forms, also the eyes are bugging me with their alignment. This second one i hope to get to the quality of this more often, its a jeff watts study, i spent about 3 hrs on it with a charcoal pencil and was a lotta fun finding all the little forms he can indicate.
Just gonna keep working on portraits for a while until i get solid at them, later on in the year ill probably work more on figures and gesture more closely, and then maybe next year ill work on a more sketch or you know design/illustration style. I feel like I've had my fun with that exploration type stuff and need to just make things look correct before i try and get back to it.
