Yey! Today was a really produvtive day, even though I got up at like 9:30 am and didn't start working 'till 11 'o clock.I managed to take out a big out of my commission stuffs and as a reward I did a lot of studies and experiments.
started with three 20 min still lifes to warm up ( I had to make up most of the lighting , since it was a creepily gloomy morning...everything greeey :D ) , not sure about the headphones , maybe I'll blow itout into a more detailed thing , but I haven't decided yet.Probably gonna leave it like that.
so here's the sketchbook stuff - hands , faces and poses - some of them from reference , most of them from mind
I tried a new style of studying - doing the preliminary sketch and colors from photo reference , and after the basics are down go your own way. It's really fun!
Experimenting with textures and going for color
I went through Bumskee's sketchbook again ( I'll never get tired of it :O ) and I decided to try and do one of these.Great practice.
and a 1 hr sketch to let some steam out.Trying to put some texture in my work for a change.I've always been working with mostly the hard round brush and always smoothing things over.Figured I was missing out on something and I waaaaas :O Everything today I did with almost no zooming in and it feels GREAT! :D
