Tried some more mechanical stuff paint studies
First one turned out to be too complex a scene and didnt have enough patience for it
[Image: Mechanics_training_01aR.jpg]

Then tried a much simler scene

both around 1,5 h - square brush and soft round one

Drawing studies from refference always make me feel like time is wasted, so I tried something new from last sketch.
I spent a few hour cutting, pasting and deleting parts of the drawing until I got another space ship shape.
Kind of and interesting experience :D

Haven't posted anything for a long while, time to start updating my sketchbook.

Some wolf studies

Started this painting last week but didn't finish as it took me too long and decided to do some practice painting from reference for a while and the try again.

practice painting, found out that referencing color from one monitor while painting on another it's not a good idea :(

Hey Callergi, nice line-work up there on the faces. Last one comin out pretty sweet too. Has a solid base, you could probably finish it without worrying. Could use some more work on the face, but I really like the overall design, good job!

Some study on Mr. Jack from deviantart, I'm trying to understand how he works. Took his last image and started repainting the creature in a slightly different position and camera angle.
Obviously, though he does it so fast using no texture brushes, it is very hard.

Some mechanical studies from reference, after some Scott robertsn and Feng Zhu dvds.
Reconstructed the referenced vehicles from different point of view.
Trying to get a hold on those lines and elipses, kind of nervous at first but things get easier after a while... will se how it goes the next days

The sketches I've done for a minotaur superhero concept.

Some illustration I've done for a card game.
And the postanalysis I've done on it when out of the woods.
Being in a hurry got directly to the painting part and missed some important stuff that give an unnatural look.

Something happened to the colours while getting through photobucket...

And one more painitng study

Hey Dennnis, thanks a lot for comments and feedback.
By last one u mean the chick with the shield and sword? If yes my not finishing it is becouse I'm worried that I spend far too much time on one single drawing, and waste the time in which I could learn things that will help me paint it faster in the end. Will see after a while if I'm right about it. Will work on the face too. Anyways I've got Mr. Jack from deviantart as reference artist for this and try to learn as much as possible from his style...

Thanks a lot! Got a better line at the portraits probably becouse I did them while relaxed and not worring about what I don't know or what I've got to learn next.
