The story telling piece is amazing. Time well spent. The market itself is gorgeous. I like how the other people sort of melt into the background. Also, the difficulty of assassinating someone in such a public place--escape after can't be easy, but the fellow with the knife looks very determined. The guy in fancy robes is probably never easy to get to--as you imply with the presence of the guard.

Over a month since my last post; where does the time go?

matkaminski - Thanks for the suggestion. I tend to overthink things and I was worried that people wouldn't make the connection between the guard and the nobleman so I overdid it by almost fusing them together :p.

AngeliquevdMee - Thanks for dropping by, glad you like it :)

meat - Thanks for your comments. It's all digital. I wanted to create a traditional feel so I used a chalk brush and kept the rendering quite loose.

Tygerson - Thanks for your comments, as always, much appreciated.

Here's some photo studies, experimenting with trying to keep things loose and concentrating on colour rather than likeness.
