Really great mood, and the monster is dignified and believable. I like the tattoo, and the rope, which presumably was how his quarry escaped.

Thanks! Actually, it's red yarn, which is linked to the Greek myth of Theseus, Ariadne and the Minotaur...if I remember it correctly, Ariadne gave Theseus a ball of yarn/thread to find his way back out of the labyrinth. The question is...who/what is lost? Did the Minotaur lose something/someone or did someone lose the Minotaur? ;)
