Study of Ingres - the dude's control of tone is WAY above anything I can scrape right now, but I'll get there.

Nice drafstmanship, also, awesome anatomy on the whip dude.
Careful with the perspective on the feet though, it helps me to draw the sole of the shoe in perspective and then draw the foot/shoe over it.

Also, thank you to Gliger and crackedskull - great advice from you both, I just need to put it into practice.

Wow, these drawings are brilliant, they have a very old school renaissance feel to them.  The only thing I can really suggest is that perhaps the lighter tones in some of your very dark drawings could be emphasised a little more. Might just be me though. Keep posting!

To StardustLava - thank you! I'm working on pushing the contrast as much as I can - here's today's study by way of an attempt:

I spent the day taking notes and reading, so I didn't do a major study. Instead, here's something from earlier this month, an attempt to do a character in ink wash. I got a lot of good criticism from this, in terms of advice regarding proportion, gesture and composition from my friends, but I'm posting it up here as well to see if anyone can give me any more advice.

Oh hell yes ATP,
Loving the sketches, I'm a sucker for pencil drawings + renderings <3
I can't find anywhere in this latest drawing to critique, it looks good to me.

Keep up the great work man!

Aaaaaaaah dude, the way you set out your drawings is so cool <3

Yeah, measuring shiz is helpful, as are rough drafting before you get into the thick of it. You know what's up and how to learn.

Keep it up man!
