Sketchbook - Critiques and comments are welcome

I will be posting my drawings here. Some will be rough drafts, and some will be finished pieces. I work primarily traditional pencil, ink and watercolour.

Here is to the start of this post. Enrich yourself with my drawings from 19 May to 7 June. You may or may not like them, but do please comment. I'm here for the learning and making friends.

This concludes all pertinent information. Now this is the talking bit: where I talk about a random thing for 60 seconds or less. Arts isn't my profession but is a serious hobby of mine. It's been an interest for most of my life, though I have consistently practiced for five years now. My main interest is drawing furry art though I like drawing people and portraits as you will see in the attachments! My favorite animal is the fox and I enjoy drawing them with female breasts.

Good evening everyone!

Here's a bump for the stagnant and somewhat dead forum. It's a shame because I love this kind of mid-late 2000's aesthetic, before phones influenced web design. It's promising that a few people do continue to visit the site. So I will try to make a commitment to upload my progress here. There was a short lived attempt back in October 2023, but I ultimately left because it felt like there were a lot of snobs who couldn't agree to disagree.

Anywho, I've been drawing occasionally since, though recently I took a few months off due to work and other personal projects. The past few weeks have been my drawing rehabilitation period. Without further ado, this is my new profile pic! I drew it about a week ago.

I am working on a drawing to mail to a friend. I will post when complete.

Hey Lith, nice sketchbook here [Image: smile.png].

I love your fox studies - the eyeball studies where you start with a sphere and wrap the eyelids around them are really cool [Image: smile.png].

Also, how do you find switching between traditional and digital media?

Love the new profile pic though - a sci-fi hawk-fox?

Looking forward to more  [Image: thumbsup.png].

I found switching between traditional and digital media to be a bit rough. At the time of posting 2-3 years ago, I hardly ever drew things digitally. But in 2024 and early 2025, I did quite a few sketches while live streaming art. There were about 35 streams about 2 hours long. They were mostly not that good but it was a way to force me to practice drawing.

Edit: and yeah, the profile pic is an OC I made a while ago. It changed quite a bit since the start but has settled around 2024. It's supposed to be a wyvern, bat looking thing. I do love foxes though.

In the process of making a new OC. He's a quiet ram-looking guy with a lot of fur.

Cool - does he have a backstory?

Not really, I personally don't do much storytelling. I just like drawing things that look interesting and attractive.

Here's an update to the thread: some sketches from my Drink and Draw club. No one showed up today, but I did get some sketches done. It was an open mic night at the bar and they reserved my table at the front of the stage. The wife (I think) of the bar owner wanted to commission me to sketch her, so I did my best during the times she was sitting. She gave me 10 dollars in the end.

Cool pencil drawings - I like how you did the hair on the wife of the bar owner, nice shape and lighting.
