Love the amount of studies that you made so far, nice values too, keep going keep painting :)

Good amount of studies.

Something stood out to me in your lit basic geometric forms. Your core shadows are barely there. Try emphasizing them and see if the forms feel more real to you or not. Also, watch for ambient occlusion. Light has trouble getting into smaller spaces, like the bottoms of spheres. Look up at the corners of the rooms you're in. You can very often notice that even there they are noticeably darker. It's better to over-emphasize these parts of lighting than to leave them out, in my opinion. 

Here are some examples applied to figures, from Steve Huston and Igor Sid (and there are examples in countless other artists as well):
