--If anyone could take a look at my sketchbook and give me some advice on what I should be doing vs. what I am doing, it would be much appreciated.
11 Mar 12:14
--ugh, there's too much content on the internet. I just need to unplug and draw -_-

--ive been banging my head against a wall trying to design a cyborg. i think im finally starting to get some decent results. you just have to power through designing some times.

--even if it is just what you think will be a cool hood design, sketch it out, then add the robe, then the face. If I am stuck for ideas, that sort of kickstarts my brain into design mode. then just choose your face sketches and combine them together

--but type character design into pinterest and you will get a whole bunch of images, look through it for about 30min, close it, then start sketching

--True I guess lol. Uhhmmm, I actually did a terrible job at designing this time round, which is why I went with satire, because then all I had to do was exaggerate cliche designs lol

--Jaik how'd you pump out designs for the bloodsports? I try to come up with wizard and elf, and I'm in tears

--I'd rather face down a red faced muscle boyfriend and just show him my sketchbook, than being red-faced myself from the girl's reaction to being sketched

--It's just to be respectful, because not everyone wants to be drawn. Worst case scenario is management asks you to leave because your staring is off-putting to customers, which will be a total killjoy if you wanted to spend 2 hours just letting loose

--I just stare at people... what are they gonna do? Yell at me? Note: This comment does not apply for girls with musclebound, steroid filled, rage machines as boyfriends.. steer well clear of looking in that direction..
11 Mar 10:49
--Just be discreet about drawing other people. Use a small A5 notebook and maybe just focus on quick gestures so you can do it with a few cursory glances instead of staring

--meat: You should just go out and do it, and after a few times you'll be comfortable and it'll feel normal. You shouldn't feel bad; your time is yours to 'waste' however you want, and other people don't have the right to judge you if they're spending time sitting around a cafe/bookstore during business hours too
11 Mar 08:29
--Ursula: I just have this Great Wall of embarrassment of sorts, that, I feel awful if I sit in a cafe/bookstore all afternoon and sketch people because I have the time because I'm in between jobs.
