New to this thread looking to improve, been a longtime follower just now joined up here, my goal is to eventually become a concept artist/freelance artist for games. Considering school and what not, currently live in Kansas working 2 dead end jobs and so far art has been something I do when im not working. I would love to do nothing more than to make a living off of my artwork trying really hard to get further!

i've been wandering around online art communities for a while now,
been too shy to really join them X(, i have been drawing for 2 years now, i remember when i started some time ago i didn't really know wich way to follow in art way too many "type" of art i saw, i wasn't really motivated to to anything untill i discovered *CONCEPT ART*, i was like what is that?? is that a painting ? (didn''t even know u could draw with a computer XD)
well now i don't think i should write my biography here .... :S
but anyways the point is: i'm a lazy koala and this is a fantastic forum and i really need some kicks in the a** to keep me going hehe.
i will hopefully be an active member and try to be of any help!

My name is Matthias Kinnigkeit, Im 20 years old and from germany. Since I graduatet from Highschool and left this "giving a shit about anything-schoollife" I started seriously to study my art skills to achive my big dream goal that I guess all or the most of you share.
At the beginning I wanted to draw up till 9 houres a day but within the last few month my view on the my studying efforts changed a lot. Now I try to use as much time as I can get my hands on to spent on my pursuit of that goal of becomming an artist in the entertainment industry. Im not so shure yet if I tend more towards Concept Art or Illustration but I guess I ll get to know soon enough.
Its great to have the opportiunity to be part of an community like this so huge thanks to all of you who keep this side and forum running!

Hello there Crimson Daggers! I have been recently introduce to Dave and Dan's interviews and its been quite an experience thus far. Just hearing all the professionals talk about how they get to where they are and the struggles they've been through to get there has been really calming my nerves since I've been able to completely relate to almost everything that these pro's felt about they journey developing as artists.

I'm still quite new at particularly painting in photoshop and I'm sure the crits and pointers I can get from you all on here would definitely help me develop as a concept artist greatly. I've been only really doing art after high school and it's been about 4 years since. I grew up in the heart of Louisiana and moved into the heart of San Francisco to go to AAU for a more intense training in being an artist. However I'm gonna put school on hold next semester to really hone in on painting digitally. I will hopefully be posting stuff on here to be critted more often and I look forward to riding through this rough journey with you all!

Never been to these forums before but I've heard wonderful things about it. Earnestly trying to get better at art and perhaps create something that one day will have a life of its own in a sense. I love to draw, want to paint, and willing to experiment with anything.
