Good to hear you're getting some interesting work in mate :). Hope that local animation film works out for you.
I love seeing your sketches, the way you first simplify into basic forms and construct on top of that. I intend to practice simplification a lot more and you have some great examples of this in your sketches. I also love Dorian Iten's accuracy guide where he says about implied lines and creaturisation. Looking forward to more from you dude!

Thanks Artloader! Finding ways to simplify is mainly what makes everything fun for me.
Yeah, that accuracy guide from Dorian is pretty good, everyone should watch it - I gotta try doing a comp with multiple figures. That's gonna be my last goal for this year.

Love your sketches! You are really good at capturing gestures and expressions. Definitely a lot can be learned from the way you construct shapes.
Keep them coming!

Thanks, AlexShi
I have a lot on my mind lately, but for now I'm just gonna try to post more often. I stopped thinking too much about what subjects to paint, I just go for whatever I have fun with

OMFG, how I haven't seen it before. Awesome!
Why do you complain of your fate when you could so easily change it?

I..I.. dont know what to say except that i LOVE your sketches. They just look so soft and defined at the same time. I'm so motivated to practice more right now to reach your skill level thank you <3

Thanks everyone!
@AChi, yeah, my "secret" lil' sketchbook haha, you found it @Artloader, oh I was just messing around with it, didn't realize it's gonna grab any attention, here is a larger version

Some sketches from yesterday, tried to spend more time on a certain portrait and ended up messing up the construction of the features. I still have that urge to jump into details, "oooh reeendering". Didn't think about rhythms and gesture too much. Meh, too lazy to actually fix it. Reminder for the next one, spend as much time as I can on the lay-in.
Started reading Dune, I was thinking of trying some character design based on it.

Hey thanks for posting that close up of the skull Walent - pure genius man. I guess that was from imagination but your light and colour work so well!
Keep posting dude!

@Artloader sure, no problem!
Some more updates: I'm suppose to start working for a full feature animation next month. We'll see how it goes. Feeling pretty motivated. Btw I fixed her eyes alignment, it was pissing me off More: Also, managed to finish another Gumroad, if anyone is interested, there are two versions, one includes a 10 min personalized feedback video on a figure drawing of yours. Feedback version: https://gum.co/VceaB - these are gonna be on for a limited time, maybe one more week or something Normal version: https://gum.co/cuVcm

Grabbed your gumroad vid! Already watched your gesture one. Going to try to draw a bard for the character challenge as my Crimson Daggers debut, and put some of these concepts into practice. Hope to see you enter the challenge again. Anyway, really inspiring sketchbook man. I've been grinding various figure drawing resources trying to get a better handle on drawing people. It can be a bit of a slog. But your sketchbook is a good source of motivation. I keep coming back and looking through and it makes me feel lazy.

hey, Burhghest, thanks! A lot of artists inspired me along the way, so glad to finally be able to do the same for others.
I can't promise anything on the challenge, since I'm pretty crowded, but we'll see. Thanks, Cesar!
